My Honest Assessment of the Snore Eliminator Chin Strap

Finally, I managed to set aside some time to write this Snore Eliminator review. The Snore Eliminator is a chin strap (not to be confused with the Snore Eliminator Pro mouthpiece) that’s designed to stop snoring. It says so here on the front of the box packaging, “Tired of your partner snoring? More effective than surgery for normalizing sleep and eliminating snoring.” The strap is basically made up of a combination of cotton and neoprene.
Some people may be interested in a chin strap or other sort of alternative anti-snoring devices because they are a little bit less invasive maybe than stop snoring mouthpieces.
I’m sure there are many snorers who do not want to put a mouthpiece in and keep it in while sleeping. They could instead, put on a chin strap on the outside of their mouths and it may help them and they might be more comfortable with that—in some cases.
I have been doing a lot of reading about these products and I have looked at a few of them, and I got real excited to look at the Snore Eliminator because I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. Now let me show you a crystal clear photo of the Snore Eliminator chin strap.

All right, so what we got here is a straightforward anti-snoring chin strap. It has the adjustable Velcro connections at the back so you strap it on and off at will. Yes, the Velcro connections make it easy to put on and remove. And then there’s the chin strap portion at the bottom. Of course it is shaped to accommodate the shape of the jaw—pretty straightforward as far as design goes.
The Material
The chin strap’s material as I mentioned earlier is composed of neoprene as well as cotton, and the latter is pretty stretchy. I’m sure it gives the chin strap some durability similar to other neoprene products. It’s a really good material—even some laptop cases are made of neoprene.
The Velcro is just as sturdy. It is quite hefty so I don’t foresee this coming apart even if someone is wearing it in a rather rough manner. It will be really hard to make the strap come apart even if intentionally trying to do so.
I gave this product a try; I put it on and adjusted it so that it fits me. I really tried to see what it would be like to sleep with it on. During a 4-day trial run, I noticed several key things about this product.

Product’s Positive Points
For one thing, it has these straps that keep the top and the bottom portion together, but its split design perfectly accommodate the ears.
This means that your ears are not going to be wedged in or end up being crushed by the pressure of the straps. The straps are stretchy and flexible so they sort of like squeeze your head in the right manner. The chin strap really stays on and pulls your chin upward.
When it pulls your chin upward, it is supposed to create more room in the back of the throat and also kind of ease constriction in the soft palate. In doing so, it will help to eliminate snoring.
There has to be some pressure, but it won’t be significant enough to the point that the pressure crushes your ears. Needless to say, that is a really good thing and that’s thanks to the chin strap’s brilliant design.
The second thing is the chin strap is actually very comfortable. It fits nicely on the chin and it doesn’t feel like as if your jaw is going to be smashed or feel sore. I do have to mention that the chin strap will take some getting used to especially if you’ve never worn anything like this while you’re sleeping.
So I’m very certain that this might take a little bit to get used to. It’s not a bad feeling, rather it just feels different. You may need to try it a night or two in order to kind of get acclimated to it before having the strap on feels completely natural to you.
Don’t worry about it because there are some snoring devices that are like that. They simply need a little time getting used to because sleeping with a new routine is always a little different.

Conclusion

All in all, it’s a ridiculously simple product! I’m pretty excited to use it for a full 30-day run (I mentioned at the beginning that I tested it for just 4 days). I don’t really see anything wrong with it at this point that I would call attention to.
The Velcro straps seem to hold really well, there’s adequate room for your ears, it holds the chin like it is supposed to, it’s comfortable and it seems to do exactly what it was intended to do—I would give it my two thumbs up.
I’m glad I ordered it and if you’re looking for a stop snoring device that’s a little bit different from a mouthpiece, one that works from the outside of your mouth and not from the inside, then I would definitely consider giving this product a try.
